Hyderabad, March 18 -- The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) staged a walkout from the Telangana Assembly on Wednesday, alleging large-scale corruption in the proposed Musi River rejuvenation project.
BRS Working President and MLA K. T. Rama Rao said the party supports the revival of the Musi River but strongly opposes what he described as a "rs 1.5 lakh crore loot" under the guise of the project.
During the session, KTR and other BRS legislators questioned the government over several key aspects, including the absence of a Detailed Project Report (DPR), escalating costs, land acquisition plans, and proposed demolitions.
