Hyderabad, March 23 -- BRS senior leader Shaik Abdullah Sohail on Monday accused the Congress government of failing to fulfil its promise of allocating Rs 4,000 crore annually for minority welfare and alleged poor utilisation of funds.
Addressing the media, Sohail said the allocations in recent budgets-Rs 3,591 crore for 2025-26 and Rs 3,769 crore for 2026-27-fell short of the promised amount. He further claimed that a portion of these funds was linked to general schemes, reducing the actual allocation meant exclusively for minorities.
