Pune, Nov. 1 -- The city witnessed another eruption of gang violence today when a young man was allegedly shot at and hacked to death on the Katraj-Kondhwa Road here.
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Kale, brother of notorious gangster Sagar Kale of the Andekar gang, said police.
Sagar Kale is currently under arrest in connection with the murder of Ayush Komkar.
According to preliminary information, the assailants allegedly fired four rounds at Ganesh and later attacked him with a sharp weapon (sickle) before fleeing the spot. Ganesh died on the spot.
Though the motive behind the murder has yet to be ascertained, police suspect the attack may have stemmed from an old rivalry or ongoing gang feud.
