Srinagar, Jan. 31 -- The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is working relentlessly to restore connectivity to hard-to-reach forward outposts in Uri sector of Baramulla district, clearing heavy snow to reopen strategic routes leading close to the Line of Control (LoC).

The upper reaches of Kashmir have witnessed heavy snowfall during two intense spells over the past ten days, leading to a substantial accumulation of snow across high-altitude areas.

Officials said men and heavy machinery have been pressed into service as the BRO has undertaken round-the-clock snow-clearance operations in the Uri sector.
