Rio de Janeiro, Nov. 17 -- Brazil center-back Gabriel Magalhaes has been ruled out of the national team's friendly against Tunisia due to a thigh muscle strain, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said.

The 27-year-old Arsenal player sustained the injury in Brazil's 2-0 victory over Senegal in London on Saturday, and he was substituted after briefly receiving treatment on the pitch.

Subsequent scans ruled him out of Tuesday's clash against the African team in the northern French city of Lille.

"Gabriel was re-evaluated on Sunday and underwent imaging tests that revealed a muscle injury in his right thigh," read a CBF statement.
