Chennai, Aug. 21 -- Braving the searing heat with the mercury level crossing 100 Deg F, lakhs
of cadres, including women carrying their child, of the fledgling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) of actor-politician Vijay thronged Parapathi in Madurai district for the party's second state conference, being held months ahead of the crucial 2026 Assembly polls.
Vijay, who will be addressing the conference after hoisting the party flag at 3.00 pm was expected
to pitchfork TVK as the primary force in Tamil Nadu political firmament and not as an alternative force.
