Kolkata, Feb. 14 -- Panic broke out at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport on Saturday morning after a bomb threat was reported on a Shillong-bound IndiGo flight.

According to airport sources, the aircraft, flight 6E-7304, was scheduled to depart from Kolkata for Shillong at 9:15 am.

However, before take-off, airline staff discovered a handwritten note inside the aircraft's lavatory claiming that a bomb had been placed on board.

The message immediately triggered panic among passengers.

Following the alert, the aircraft was moved to an isolated bay and all passengers were deboarded.

Security agencies began a thorough search of the plane.
