Kolkata, Feb. 24 -- Panic gripped several courts in Kolkata and other parts of West Bengal on Tuesday after judges received anonymous emails warning of imminent bomb blasts inside court premises.

According to sources, the first alert surfaced while court proceedings were underway, when a judge received an email claiming that an explosion would occur shortly. The message triggered immediate alarm.

Soon, similar threat emails were reported from courts in West Burdwan, Hooghly's Chinsurah, Bankshall Court in Kolkata, and the Murshidabad district court, prompting evacuations and emergency security measures.
