Kolkata, Jan. 30 -- The body of Basanti Poddar(65), a Maha Kumbh stampede victim was handed over by the Uttar Pradesh government authorities to her family members without proper paper including the death certificate and autopsy report.
The body was brought here on Thursday for a postmortem and cremation, official sources said.
Sources said the matter was informed to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who assured all sorts of assistance and directed her cabinet colleague to ensure all government help.
