Ranchi, Jan. 24 -- The bodies of 17 Naxalites killed in an encounter with security forces under Operation Meghaburu in the dense forest areas of the Chotanagra Police Station area were brought to Chaibasa Sadar Hospital on Saturday, where postmortems were conducted amid tight security arrangements.
The postmortem process was carried out under the supervision of a magistrate and was videographed to ensure transparency and adherence to legal procedures.
In view of the large number of bodies, the hospital administration constituted six medical teams, with a three-member doctors' team assigned to each body to ensure the process was completed in a systematic and time-bound manner.
