Buenos Aires, March 23 -- Second-half goals from Tomas Aranda and Adam Bareiro gave Boca Juniors a 2-0 home win over Instituto Cordoba in Argentina's Apertura tournament.
Aranda opened the scoring in the 51st minute at La Bombonera when he cut inside before drillinga low shot that beat goalkeeper Manuel Roffo at his far post on Sunday.
The hosts doubled their advantage five minutes later through Bareiro, who pounced on a loose ball to fire in from just outside the six-yard box.
Instituto had several chances to reduce the deficit but was denied by a series of smart saves from Boca goalkeeper Agustin Marchesin.
