Buenos Aires, March 17 -- Striker Milton Gimenez scored twice as Boca Juniors extended its winning streak to six games with a 4-0 home victory over Defensa y Justicia in Argentina's Primera Division Apertura tournament.

Edinson Cavani opened the scoring in the ninth minute on Sunday when he tapped home from close range, and Gimenez doubled the lead just after the half hour by firing into the top-right corner after combining with Carlos Palacios.

Gimenez made it 3-0 as he received Lucas Blondel's pass before slotting a low finish past goalkeeper Enrique Bologna, and Miguel Merentiel completed the rout with a precise effort from a difficult angle nine minutes from time.
