Dhaka, Nov. 12 -- The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Tuesday cautioned the interim government against taking any decision beyond the framework of the July National Charter, warning that signatory parties would not be bound by measures exceeding the agreed provisions, including those accompanied by notes of dissent.

"Any decision taken outside the signed charter will be the government's sole responsibility," said BNP Standing Committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain at a press briefing held at the party chairperson's office in Gulshan this morning, as per local media sources.
