Los Angeles, Jan. 10 -- Netflix's hit dystopian anthology series 'Black Mirror' has officially been renewed for an eighth season.

The streaming platform confirmed the news by sharing a transcript of a conversation with creator Charlie Brooker, in which he celebrated the show's three Golden Globe nominations, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Season seven of the series, which premiered in April 2025, made an immediate impact by topping Netflix's charts and drawing 10.6 million views in its first full week. The six-episode season featured a sequel to USS Callister, widely considered one of the most beloved episodes in the show's history.
