New Delhi, Feb. 20 -- A deepening controversy has erupted in Pakistan after the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) released videos and photographs claiming it had taken seven Pakistani soldiers hostage and set a February 21 deadline for negotiations, threatening execution if its detained fighters are not freed.
While social media accounts linked to the Pakistan Army's X Corps and the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) dismissed the footage as fabricated and digitally manipulated, fresh clips circulated by the BLA show the captives displaying alleged military service cards and national identity documents issued by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
