Dharamshala, Dec. 20 -- Expressing deep concern over the prevailing situation in Himachal Pradesh, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) state co-media in-charge Arvind Chaudhary on Saturday said the state was passing through a critical phase due to deteriorating law and order, rising unemployment, and the growing menace of drug abuse.

He said the worsening situation has created an atmosphere of insecurity and uncertainty for all sections of society, including youth, farmers, employees, traders and common citizens.

He alleged that the drug menace was no longer confined to select areas but had spread to villages, towns and city streets, with even school and college students falling prey to addiction.
