Guwahati, Feb. 27 -- Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Assam, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will kick off its Jana Ashirwad Yatra from Saturday, February 28, covering all 126 assembly constituencies across the state.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the Yatra will focus on connecting with the people rather than solely highlighting government achievements over the past five years. The party also plans to acknowledge areas where public expectations were not fully met.

"The basic objective of the Yatra is not to focus on the developments undertaken by the party in the last five years but to connect with the people of the state," Sarma said.
