Hyderabad, Aug. 24 -- Telangana BJP State President N Ramchandra Rao on Sunday said that social media had become a decisive tool in politics and stressed the responsibility of party functionaries to ensure that the right information reached the people at the right time.
Speaking at the State Media and Social Media Workshop held at Pindi Pulla Reddy Gardens, Sagar Road, Bairamalguda, he said that in the age of smartphones, "every citizen has become a media house."He called on party spokespersons and social media volunteers to widely publicise the development and welfare programs implemented by the Narendra Modi government over the past 11 years and to counter the "false propaganda" of the state government.
