Kolkata, March 9 -- National General Secretary of the All India Trinamool Congress,Abhishek Banerjee, on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, claiming that the saffron party's tally would be brought down to below 50 seats in the state.

Addressing a public meeting at Mathurapur in South 24 Parganas district, Banerjee also took a swipe at union Home Minister Amit Shah, who had addressed a rally in the same area a few days ago as part of the BJP's campaign.
