Kolkata, March 30 -- A delegation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comprising state and central representatives on Monday met the Election Commission of India (ECI), alleging large-scale electoral malpractices and intimidation in West Bengal ahead of the Assembly elections.
The delegation, comprising union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and Piyush Goyal, BJP media in-charge Anil Baluni, and state BJP president Sukanta Majumdar, among others, submitted a memorandum to the poll panel seeking intervention to ensure free and fair elections in the state.
