Kolhapur/Sindhudurg, Jan. 28 -- Following the "unopposed Sindhudurg pattern" spearheaded by district guardian minister Nitesh Rane, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its ally Shinde-led Shiv Sena have secured 25 seats unopposed in the Sindhudurg district.
Of these, the BJP won 23 seats, including seven Zilla Parishad (ZP) and 16 Panchayat Samiti seats, while the Shinde-led Shiv Sena was elected unopposed to two seats: One Zilla Parishad and one Panchayat Samiti seat.
