Agartala, May 10 -- The ruling BJP's workers' union, BMS office in Bamutia near Agartala, was closed down last evening after a clash between two rival groups of the same outfit. Mounting tension has been reported from the area in the wake of the clash and injury inflicted on the harmless auto rickshaw driver.
Sources said that the trouble had started in the morning when the auto rickshaw drivers had gathered to collect their line numbers. There was a crowd of auto rickshaw drivers, and when one driver, named Pranab Banik, was in the queue to collect his number, he was pushed away and beaten by another driver, Sudipta Das.
