Shillong, May 4 -- The Meghalaya state BJP on Monday said the landslide victory of the party in West Bengal has realised the long-cherished dream of the party's ideological founder, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee.

"On this momentous occasion, BJP Meghalaya pays rich tributes to Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, whose dream of an inclusive Bengal and India finds realisation," State BJP Spokesperson, Mariahom Kharkrang said.

Mookerjee was born in 1901 in Kolkata and came from a prominent academic family. He studied at the University of Calcutta and also London and later became the youngest Vice Chancellor of University of Calcutta.
