Lucknow, Feb. 24 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav today attacked the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government after the Centre admitted in the Rajya Sabha that it had closed 18,727 government schools in five years.
Akhilesh Yadav said that the BJP has ruined education. The BJP government also conspired to close 27,000 government schools in Uttar Pradesh under the guise of mergers.
Calling this a conspiracy against the country's future, he asked whether the BJP and its allies want the children of the rich to study but not the exploited and deprived children of the PDA community, and that the children of the PDA community remain labourers and workers.
