New Delhi, Feb. 25 -- BJP MP from Chandni Chowk and Secretary General of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), Praveen Khandelwal, has urged the Government of India to consider renaming the national capital Delhi as "Indraprastha", stating that such a step would restore the historic and civilisational identity of India's capital.
He also urged to install statute of Pandavas at a suitable place in Delhi, preferably at Purana Qila, to restore the ancient old cultural and historical identity of Delhi.
Khandelwal, in a separate communication to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, has urged to pass a resolution in Delhi Assembly for renaming Delhi as "Indraprastha".
