Mumbai, Feb. 25 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party has finalised the names of union Minister of State for Social Justice Ramdas Athawale and senior leader Vinod Tawde for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections from Maharashtra.

A final decision on the remaining two seats will be taken by the party's central leadership in Delhi.

Seven Rajya Sabha seats have fallen vacant from Maharashtra. Based on the current strength in the State Assembly, six seats are expected to go to the ruling Mahayuti alliance, while one seat is likely to be secured by the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi.
