Kolkata, Feb. 15 -- The West Bengal unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is planning a massive rally at Kolkata's Brigade Parade Grounds in March as part of its preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to be the principal speaker.

While the party has not yet finalised the date, senior leaders said the focus is on turning the Brigade rally into a show of organisational strength ahead of the polls.

According to party sources, the timing of the rally will depend on the completion of a series of Rath Yatras that the BJP plans to roll out across South Bengal.
