Hyderabad, May 11 -- Bhuvanagiri Lok Sabha member Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly engaging in political rhetoric during his recent visit to Hyderabad despite stating that he would not discuss politics.

In a video statement released on Monday, the Congress MP said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had merely sought the Centre's cooperation in resolving pending issues related to Telangana during the Prime Minister's visit.

He noted that over the last two-and-a-half years, the Chief Minister had met the Prime Minister and several union Ministers on multiple occasions and submitted memorandums seeking solutions to various issues concerning the state.
