Pune, Dec. 13 -- Ahead of the Pune Municipal Corporation elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has received applications from around 2,500 aspirants seeking party tickets.

Interviews of these aspirants began today at the BJP office in Pune and will continue for two more days.

These applications have been submitted for 41 wards in Pune, where elections will be held for 165 seats.

BJP leaders Dheeraj Ghate (Pune City BJP President), Ganesh Bidkar, and Shrinath Bhimale will conduct the interviews.

Dheeraj Ghate and Ganesh Bidkar will interview candidates from three Assembly constituencies each, while Shrinath Bhimale will handle two constituencies.
