Pune, Jan. 15 -- A clash broke out between workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in the Dhayari area following allegations of cash distribution to voters. Police intervened promptly and brought the situation under control.

However, the police clarified that the incident was not related to cash distribution but stemmed from a dispute over the setting up of party booths close to each other.

A video showing intense scuffles between BJP and NCP workers near a polling station in Dhayari went viral on social media, after which the police stepped in.
