Bengaluru, Feb. 17 -- Legislative Council opposition leader and senior BJP leader Chalavadi Narayanaswamy on Tuesday alleged that the Congress government has illegally acquired 31 government sites across Karnataka for party offices, paying just 5 per cent of their market value.
Speaking at a presser, Narayanaswamy said the Congress government was misappropriating land meant for the poor and for public facilities. "The government is actively involved in land appropriation, bypassing legal procedures at the taluk, district, and panchayat levels," he said.
