Mumbai, Sept. 2 -- BJP spokesperson Keshav Upadhye has accused the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) of attempting to pit two communities against each other for political gains instead of genuinely resolving the Maratha quota issue.

Upadhye today alleged on social media that certain forces were trying to use Manoj Jarange Patil's agitation as a tool for electoral benefit. He appealed to Jarange Patil to withdraw the protest and cooperate with the government to avoid further embarrassment.

"The same Maratha community that once organized peaceful silent marches is now being portrayed differently over the past few days in Mumbai. The unruly acts of a few miscreants have raised questions about the community's image," Upadhye wrote in his post.
