Puri, Feb. 18 -- Activists of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) have strongly opposed the BJP government's alleged attempt to cover the inauguration plaque of the Odia Viswavidyalaya.

The plaque bears the names of former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, late Minister Maheswar Mohanty, and Pradip Maharathy.

The incident reportedly took place during the Satyabadi Mahotsav and Chief Minister Mohan Majhi's visit to the university three days ago, said Dibakar Patra, President of the Puri district BJD, at a press conference on Tuesday.
