Gorakhpur, Jan. 21 -- A birthday celebration took a violent turn in Gorakhpur when a young woman allegedly fired a pistol during an argument, leaving one person injured. The incident occurred near a shop in Singhadia under the Cantt police station area, police said on Wednesday.
According to police, the accused woman, identified as Anshika, was celebrating her birthday on the roadside with her friends when a young man, Vishal Mishra, arrived at the spot along with his three friends on Tuesday night.
Vishal was reportedly acquainted with Anshika. An argument soon broke out between the two, which escalated into a physical scuffle.
