Itanagar, July 9 -- A total of 89 bird species were recorded during a two-day bird watch survey conducted recently by the Arunachal Pradesh Birding Club (APBC) in collaboration with the Public Works Department (PWD), Namsai Division, at Nongsaya Lake and Jona forest area in the Namsai district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Led by APBC president and State Green Guardian awardee Koj Mama, the survey brought together birding enthusiasts and conservationists to document avian diversity and assess the ecological significance of the region.
