Aizawl, Jan. 25 -- Biometric enrolment of refugees from Myanmar taking shelter in Mizoram has reached close to 90 per cent across the state's 11 districts, while the corresponding process for refugees from Bangladesh remains at a much lower level, state home department officials said on Friday.
According to official data, biometric details of 26,049 out of 28,962 refugees from Myanmar-accounting for 89.94 per cent-have been collected and uploaded so far. District administrations in Aizawl, Lunglei, Serchhip and Champhai have already completed 100 per cent biometric enrolment of Myanmar refugees under their respective jurisdictions.
