Bhubaneswar, April 7 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Tuesday criticized the Odisha BJP government for its alleged double standards in appointing retired officials. Addressing a press conference, party spokesperson and media coordinator Lenin Mohanty alleged that the BJP's election promise to fill around 3.5 lakh vacant posts in Odisha for youth employment within five years has turned into a mockery.

Mohanty highlighted that while the BJP had previously opposed the reappointment of retired officials, it is now facilitating and encouraging such appointments in large numbers, revealing a stark policy reversal after assuming power.
