Katihar, April 8 -- In a tragic road accident,three cousins lost their lives after a truck rammed into their motorcycle in the Mufassil police station area.
Police said here on Wednesday that the accident took place late Tuesday night near the Rozitpur bypass when the victims were travelling on a motorcycle.
A speeding truck collided head-on with the motorcycle, resulting in the instant death of all three riders.
The deceased were identified as Nitesh Kumar Oraon (20), Rajiv Kumar (19), and Rahul Kumar (19).
Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO-1) Abhijeet Kumar Singh said that the truck has been seized. He added that the victims were working in Gujarat and had recently returned to their native place in Katihar.
