Patna, April 30 -- In order to solve the problems of irrigation and to provide proper irrigation facility to the farmers of Buxar and Rohtas districts, famous as the rice bowl of Bihar, the government was working on war footing to revive Chausa branch canal of Sone Canal system.
Official sources said here on Wednesday that the water from the Chausa Branch Canal under the Sone Canal System under Nokha, Kargahar, Kochas and Dinara blocks will be made available up to the last end of Kochas and Indore water distribution system.
The sources said that the revival of the chausa branch canal would be complete by the next kharif season.
The 62.67-kilometre-long Canal was being revived at an expenditure of Rs 79,53.38,000.
