Patna, May 2 -- : Nishant Kumar, son of former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, will embark on a statewide 'Sadbhav Yatra' on Sunday from Bihar's West Champaran district. The initiative is being seen as Nishant's significant entry into active politics, with a focus on communicating his father's 20 years of work to the public.

In an effort to establish himself as a mass leader, Nishant Kumar is following in his father's footsteps.

In 2005, Nitish Kumar first reached out to the people through the 'Nyay Yatra' to understand public grievances. Since then, he has undertaken 16 statewide tours. The most recent was the 'Samriddhi Yatra,' conducted after winning the 2025 Assembly elections.
