Patna, April 11 -- Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Development Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha today announced that the deadline for the election of members of the Empowered Standing Committees in urban local bodies has been extended to April 25.
Sinha said the decision was taken to ensure that the election process is conducted in a more systematic and effective manner across the state. The earlier deadline of April 20 has now been revised to April 25 after considering administrative and procedural requirements, as well as the need for better coordination at various levels.
