Patna, March 11 -- Bihar Police Headquarters has alerted district administrations to remain vigilant against illegal storage and black marketing of LPG and petroleum products amid concerns over possible supply disruptions linked to tensions in the Middle East.

In a letter issued by the Additional Director General of Police (Special Branch), district magistrates and police officials have been asked to closely monitor petrol pumps, LPG distributors and fuel storage points across the state.

The communication said authorities should prevent hoarding or black marketing of LPG cylinders, petrol and diesel, which could trigger panic buying and lead to law and order problems.
