Patna, June 27 -- Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey today said that a "stop diarrhoea" campaign to protect children from getting affected with diarrhoea during the monsoon would begin from July 15 and would continue till September 15.
Pandey said here that children below the age of five years were mostly affected with diarrhoea during the monsoon and the state government had prepared a blueprint for protecting them.
"During the campaign, one packet of ORS and 14 tablets of zinc would be given to every child below the age of five years," the Health Minister said, adding that 1.94 crore households had been identified for distribution of ORS and zinc tablets among 2.5 crore children.
