Chennai, Feb. 18 -- The Biennial elections to fill six seats that would fall vacant from the TamilNadu Assembly in April, would be held on March 16.

The elections would be held to fill the seats of 37 members elected from 10 States, whose termof office was due to expire in April.

Of the six members from Tamil Nadu, four of them were from the DMK and one each from theAIADMK and its ally, the Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC).

The term of six Rajya Sabha members from Tamil Nadu which would expire in April are N R Elango,P Selvarasu, Trichy N Siva and Dr Kanikozhi NVN Somu (all DMK), M Thambidurai (AIADMK)and G K Vasan (TMC).
