Patna, March 29 -- Bihar Agriculture Minister Ramkripal Yadav said on Sunday that the 'Betel Leaf Development Scheme' would prove to be a milestone in strengthening the economic condition of betel leaf farmers in the state.
Announcing the launch of the scheme, the minister said it is aimed at increasing farmers' income and integrating traditional betel leaf cultivation with modern agricultural techniques. The scheme has been approved under the Fourth Agriculture Road Map for a period of two years, from the financial year 2025-26 to 2026-27.
