Bengaluru, Jan. 19 -- Karnataka Chief Election Commissioner G S Sangreshi on Monday announced that elections to the five new municipal corporations formed under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) will be held after May 25, with ballot papers replacing Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
Addressing the media, Sangreshi said the poll schedule would be finalised after the conclusion of SSLC and PUC examinations.
He made it clear that the same method would be followed for the forthcoming zilla and taluk panchayat elections later this year.
