New Delhi, Jan. 19 -- The Supreme Court on Monday issued a series of directions to the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure that the verification of voters flagged under the "logical discrepancies" category during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in West Bengal is conducted transparently and without causing stress or inconvenience to citizens.
The Court directed the ECI to publish the list of persons who have been issued notices citing "logical discrepancies" in their enumeration forms. These lists are to be displayed at Panchayat Bhavans and Block offices.
