Chennai, Jan. 23 -- Kolkata-based 16-year-old chess talent Sneha Halder has decided to focus on increasing her global rating by participating in overseas chess tournaments, said her father-cum-coach Bhogirath Halder.
As a part of that game plan, Sneha -- currently rated at 2,100 ELO Points -- will be playing in four tournaments in Europe - Czech Republic and Hungary -- starting next month, he told UNI.
The 16-year-old schoolgirl, now preparing for her 10th standard exams, will be accompanied by her mother. According to Halder, getting the visa for Sneha gave him several anxious moments and is upset at the All India Chess Federation (AICF) for not responding to his frantic calls and messages.
