Kolkata, April 15 -- Taking a dig at the BJP, Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Wednesday said while the saffron party leaders were now visiting households wooing voters, none of them could be seen during the Covid pandemic when people did not know what to do.
"The leaders are seen even cleaning the houses and taking fish in their campaign just to give the message that they are not against non vegetarian food, but the people of Bengal know it well that none of them will be seen after May when the election results are out," Banerjee said while addressing a rally at Daulatpur Yuba Sangha ground in South 24 Parganas district's Bishnupur.
Bishnupur is part of Banerjee's Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha seat.
