Kolkata, April 4 -- The West Bengal Motion Pictures Artists' Forum - the largest Trade union organisation of all talky artists in the state - on Saturday lodged a zero FIR in a city police station seeking a probe to unravel the truth behind the death of actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee at Talsari beach recently.

The zero FIR, which denotes a formal complaint filed at any police station regardless of whether the crime occurred within its territorial jurisdiction, has been lodged at the Regent Park police station under Bharat Nyay Samhita (BNS) sections 61(1) criminal Conspiracy, 106 (1) causing death by rash or negligent act not amounting to culpable homicide, and sections 240 of BNS dealing with false information.
